Frank's Escape

Frank’s Escape - Acrylic and Oil on Canvas - 48” x 30”

Serpico was inserted into Robson Street, Vancouver in the 1970s. I have a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing the essence of the world around me. This is why I was drawn to creating a realistic street scene painting with a few elements of the film.

The film's portrayal of gritty urban life, corruption, and the struggle for justice deeply resonated with me. I was inspired by the film's themes and its realistic depiction of life in New York City during the 1970s, and I knew that I wanted to capture this in my painting.
